With these blogs on the mindset of a Realistic Prepper (RP), I am trying to get you to think about the choices that you and I make regarding how we respond to a major disaster or emergency which immediately affect us. I want it to be understood that preparing for some sort of major natural disaster or any other sort of dire emergency, we must not give into a prepping plan based within fantasy, but prepare with a plan grounded within reality. Now given this, what exactly is the goal of a Realistic Prepper?

Ok internet, today let’s talk about prepping. Now I know that now you are probably thinking that I have lost my mind and that I’m going to go all tinfoil hat, conspiracy theory nut job on you. If that is the case, then hopefully you will be pleasantly surprised. Today I will not be discussing how to prepare for the zombie apocalypse or some sort of crazy end of days “sh** hit the fan/the end of the world as we know it” (SHTF/TEOTWAWKI) foolishness. Today will be the first of many post on what I like to call Practical Realistic Prepping. I will admit that there will be some overlapping similarities between Practical Realistic Prepping (RP) and well, the “Doomsday Preppers” shenanigans. Yet, the similarities are mostly within terminology and shared gear; most of it is semantics. What really separates those of us who subscribe to the idea of Practical Realistic Prepping is in our mindset….
