from the inside out

So I can’t get this song out of my head, I could have worse songs in my head, but I can’t shake From the Inside Out. I honestly think it has been on my brain on and off for two or three months now. I do not remember the last time we have sung it in worship (feels like recently). No surprise there I rarely remember the songs we sang in worship (in the context of when was the last time). Worship at newhope is usually quite memorable and challenging in a good way, God is trying to grow us up. So since the lyrics are in my head, I thought I would post them today. What a powerful prayer.

Album: United We Stand (2006)

A thousand times I’ve failed
Still your mercy remains
And should I stumble again
Still I’m caught in your grace

Everlasting, Your light will shine when all else fades
Never ending, Your glory goes beyond all fame
In my heart, in my soul, Lord I give you control
Consume me from the inside out Lord
Let justice and praise become my embrace
To love You from the inside out

Your will above all else, my purpose remains
The art of losing myself in bringing you praise

Everlasting, Your light will shine when all else fades
Never ending, Your glory goes beyond all fame
In my heart, in my soul, Lord I give you control
Consume me from the inside out Lord
Let justice and praise become my embrace
To love You from the inside out

Chorus 2x
Everlasting, Your light will shine when all else fades
Never ending, Your glory goes beyond all fame
And the cry of my heart is to bring You praise
From the inside out Lord, my soul cries out
