a qoute for you…words for the journey

During our freshmen year, Chandra learned that I am addicted to scriptures and quotations, and we began an exchange of scriptures and quotes on index cards from VA to GA and back again. Today during Worship I heard a quote for the first time in a long while that just touched me and I am sharing it with all those who read my blog.

May these words from C.T. Studd impact your tomorrows, I am sure they will impact mine:

Some wish to live within the sound
Of Church or Chapel Bell.
I want to run a rescue shop
within a yard of Hell.

I do believe that C.T. Studd got it…um to live such a faithful, devoted, complete life…something to aspire to…to be like Jesus…

2 Corinthians 13:11 (New International Version)

Finally, brothers, good-by. Aim for perfection, listen to my appeal, be of one mind, live in peace. And the God of love and peace will be with you.

Philippians 3:14 (King James Version)

I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

  1. I miss those days of snail mail! Love this quote…its the way I think of teaching. I want to work with those that others have given up on – the ‘at-risk’ students.

  2. I do too, where has the time gone? When did we loose the art of letter writing? Sad commentary…there are children who have never written a letter to a friend or grandparent and some never will…
