When God say’s, “the choice is yours”

This week I asked God a question, and the response was not what I expected, desired or wanted, I did not receive a definitive reply. The response was simply to do what I felt in my heart and to know that my Heavenly Father would love and support me regardless of my decision, which lead me to scripture:

1 Corinthians 10:23-24 (NIV) “Everything is permissible”—but not everything is beneficial. “Everything is permissible”—but not everything is constructive. Nobody should seek his own good, but the good of others.

I learned this week that just because God calls you out of something or someplace does not mean the opportunity to shine your light in that situation comes to an abrupt end. All things that benefit the Kingdom, with no sorrow or ill-gotten gain are beneficial.

I choose Kingdom benefit over personal gratification, ah, an answered prayer in the midst of God’s silence, growing in faith; growing in discernment.
